Welcome to The Village Salon.

Our goal is to create an experience to remember for every client.

To that end, we focus on the details that surround your visit. Whether it be continuing education for our stylists, or the products we use and sell, every thought is given to meeting your needs and expectations. Come and experience the knowledge, comfort and customer service for which The Village Salon is known. Let us create for you an experience to remember.

While we have studiously avoided creating anything that could be called a “signature cut,” Village Salon strives to give all our clients the same thing: a clean, warm, modern look that works with their face shape. It’s the perfect formula, one that allows every woman to express herself easily, naturally and beautifully.

Here's our story.

Hello and welcome to The Village Salon! We opened our doors in April of 1988. Let me tell you, Pennington looked a whole lot different then, but it is still just as special today as it was then. I was born and raised in Pennington, so I cant begin to tell you just what a great town it really is. Early on, we saw a need for a salon that specialized in curly hair. Back in the day there were some crazy things happening to people with curly hair, so when the folks at DEVA set out to change the way everyone handled curly hair, we were hooked! During one of our educational outings, we got a chance to meet the first lady who specialized in dealing with curly hair, Lorraine Massey. Massey, a hairstylist, developed the "Curly Girl Method" and authored the book "Curly Girl: The Handbook" as guidelines for naturally curly hair care. We just had to get in on this education, so we set up an entire day with Lorraine in the salon for our first ever curl event, and continue to go to NYC for additional classes.

Meet our team.
