Frequently Asked Questions
Safety:
- Q: How safe are the extensions for my own hair?
A: Both the fiber extensions and human hair extensions can be completely safe for your hair provided you invest in a technician with the knowledge, skill and experience to perform the service correctly. Unfortunately, because the hair extension industry is unregulated, hair extension services (especially human hair) have gotten a bad reputation because of people applying the hair extensions inaccurately or, even worse, removing them without the proper knowledge of the product or the skill, expertise and patience required to safely remove the extensions.
- Q: How about vacations: Jacuzzi’s, pools and the sun? What will happen?
A: Hair extensions, both fiber or human, would be a great addition to any vacation because of the easy styling and manageability. Your technician explain how to care for and protect your investment while having fun in the sun.
- Q: What is your experience level?
A: The Village Salon's hair extension expert has both a barber and cosmetology license that she's held for the last 10 years. She is also an educator with the number one fiber hair extension company in both the US and the UK, and is certified in both human hair extension applications and non-surgical hair replacement for men, women and children suffering from everything from alopecia, to male pattern baldness and to cancer treatment recovery.
- Q: What if I have an allergic reaction?
A: In the event that a client suffers from an allergic reaction (which is very rare) the technician will immediately remove the hair extensions.
